It really doesn't matter what type or style of property you may own: semi-detached, detached , terraced house, cottage, bungalow or top floor apartment; if you have suitable loft space then you can make the most of this empty space and enjoy your home to its full potential whilst easily increasing its value at the same time.
To maximise a room's size, a very popular choice are dormers, and can be designed accordingly for most house styles. Dormers are widely chosen when the loft space is quite small and compact.
Properties which are semi-detached will need development to the side hipped roof and this will ensure enough space for a new staircase fitment.
Whereas, for terraced houses a more apt choice is a Mansard style loft.
