We are now ready to install the stairs to your new loft room. The emphasis of the loft construction project shifts to include building work in the rooms below. We endeavour to minimise the disruption to you, by working carefully and respecting the fact that we are in your home. Dust sheets are erected around the point of 'break through' and within a few minutes we are through! The fitting of the stairs takes about half a day and once in place, our plasterers' will create the stairwell and the loft floor laid.
Second fixings. Skirting, mouldings and doors are fitted. Our electricians' will take the wiring down to your existing mains box and if necessary install an extra 'loft' box, then carry out all installations. Mains-wired smoke alarms will be fitted and any fire regulatory requirements such as, door closers, extra fire doors or the covering of glass on internal doors, etc, carried out. The conversion is now finished and we arrange for a final inspection by the Local Authority Buiding Control.
